Photo Op — WW II Veterans to Visit the Mall

In 10 days, America will celebrate Veteran’s Day Weekend. If you’re looking for an incredible story to feature during a weekend when America’s focus is on our national heroes, we would like to make you aware of our program’s success. At the end of November, we will have flow over 5000 of them to their
long-awaited, precious WWII Memorial. Almost all the veterans we’ve taken HAD
previously given up all hope of ever visiting THEIR memorial.
Between now and next weekend, we have two large groups of WWII Veterans (and terminally ill Korean and Vietnam Veterans) heading to Washington DC. Please read the attached press release. On Saturday, 3 November 2007, over 866 veterans and guardians from several states will be flown into the DC area.
On Wednesday, 7 November 2007, the FIRST corporate sponsored chartered flight from Michigan and the FIRST high school lead commercial flight from Missouri will be meeting at the WWII Memorial. All groups that come in are personally met by Senator Bob Dole. We are inviting media to come to Washington DC to cover these “once-in-a-lifetime” events. Ken Burns’ most recent effort “The War,” continues to generate tremendous attention and admiration for America’s most senior heroes. In another 5-10 years, almost all of the WWII Veterans will be gone.
