General Membership Meeting March 20

 The next General Membership meeting will take place THIS Tuesday, March
 20, 2007 at Dennis Brack’s Studio, 318 Third Street, NE Rear at 6:30
 p.m.


 Tom Tinervin, Director of ASP Sales at DigitalRailroad, will present an
 informative talk on DigitalRailroad¹s unique Web-based services that
 enable us to manage, market, and sell our work with greater efficiency.
 Tom will be available after the meeting as well to answer questions
 about your archives..

 United Press International (UPI) has chosen Digital Railroad’s
 technology to distribute and license its Newspictures image
 collections. It will be the first time more than 300,000 historic UPI
 images will be presented digitally to the photo-buying public in one
 online searchable archive. The images include world events and
 exclusive collections of public figures from entertainment and
 politics.
 

 Veteran United Press International photographer/editor Gary
 Haynes will talk about his book, “Picture This!: The Inside Story and
 Classic Photos of UPI Newspictures.” The book tells the stories behind
 the stories—and how some of the most iconic and revealing news
 pictures of the late 20th century came to be.
