On Friday January 18th at six thirty the White House News Photographers
Association will hold an open meeting that features presentations by the
judges of the 2008 "The Eyes of History" still photographic contest. The judges
are: Gail Fisher, Senior Picture Editor, NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC, Dudley Brooks,
Director of Photography. EBONY, Chris Hondros, staff photographer, Getty. A
presentation by Travis Dove, the College Photographer of the Year, is part
of this program.
The Friday night program is the start of the judging of the best work of
White House News Photographers Association members. Thousands of the best
news, feature, sports, photographs of the year will be viewed and judged.
Saturday January 19th and Sunday January 20th the judging will be open and
the public is invited to view the photographs and watch the selection
process.
The program will be held at: The NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC MAGAZINE Auditorium.
