Steadicam Smoothee event- July 12 at B&H

Thursday, July 12, 2012  |  4:00 PM - 5:30 PM Speakers: Dan Ikeda , Frank A. Rush Event Type: Video Technology has paved the way for a new trend in cameras: your cell phone. Whether it’s taking pictures or shooting videos, people everywhere are leaving their cameras at home in favor of using their phones to capture memorable moments. With a multitude of apps and accessories available, ease of sharing on social media sites, and higher megapixel cameras, cell phones are becoming the most popular way to shoot on the fly. But what if there was a way to elevate your videos from being obviously shot on a phone to “I can’t believe this was shot on just a cell phone?!?!” What if you could turn your cell phone into a creator of cinematographic masterpieces? What if you could shoot video on a steady cell phone, from new angles and perspectives? If high quality video footage is what you want to see from your phones, then join us as the Steadicam Smoothee tackles this challenge with the leader in multimedia cell phones, the iPhone.

Steadicam experts Frank Rush and Dan Ikeda will be in the event space for a hands-on demonstration on how to use the Steadicam Smoothee to best enhance your videos. After the demonstration, Dan, Frank, and our B&H mavens will be leading a videowalk so you can practice using a Smoothee with your iPhone. The fun doesn’t stop there: attendees will walk away with a Steadicam t-shirt, and lucky winners will go home with a free Smoothee raffled off live in the event space. If you don’t have an iPhone, the Smoothee also works with GoPro cameras, wearable HD cameras designed to capture your adventures at every twist and turn. For DSLR owners, we will also have the new Steadicam 2 Merlin available to try. While we will have some loaner GoPro cameras for attendees to try, we ask that you please bring your own iPhone to use with the Smoothee.

This event is being repeated several times to allow as many attendees as possible to attend this free event.
