TV contest - interim update
IMPORTANT TV CONTEST INFORMATION
The TV Contest Committee has implemented significant changes to improve the entry and judging process for the video contest. This year all entries must be submitted as electronic files. The contest will be totally tapeless. Your entries must be submitted completely online by uploading to a special FTP site. The files will be QuickTime format. Your Entry Summary Sheets must be submitted via e-mail. Entry fees have been increased slightly this year and can be paid via PayPal on the WHNPA website. Complete rules, entry forms and detailed file formatting and uploading instructions will be emailed to the membership and available for download very soon from our web site. You will have over a month to complete your submissions instead of a 2-day only tape drop-off.
If you are unable to pay using PayPal your entry fee may be mailed to Doug Wilkes but it must arrive before the deadline. If you are unable to upload your files to the FTP site, they also may be mailed to Doug Wilkes as a data disc or included on a small “thumb-drive’ but they must arrive properly formatted and named before the deadline. The entry deadline is January 29, 2010 at 6pm. The judging will be February 13 & 14; volunteers are needed during the judging weekend, please contact Pege Gilgannon at 202-345-1937 or Doug Wilkes at dougwilkes@yahoo.com.
Remember, your dues must be paid for the 2010 year prior to submitting your entries.
