International Awards Competition, Mayor’s Arts Awards Finalist, and Uncover/Discover Curation
2012 International Awards Competition - Our 5th Annual International Awards Competition is in progress! The 2012 competition will honor professional and emerging photographers from the DC region, and from around the world. Cash prizes total $26,000 and winning images will be exhibited and/or projected during FotoWeekDC, November 9 - 18 2012, along with great online exposure. Enter in two new exciting categories, FotoBooks (self-published print and digital photography books) and Modern Vintage (experimental, vintage styles including instagram and lomography). FotoDC is exited to announce that we are once again a finalist for the Mayor’s Arts Awards, which will be held at the Historic Lincoln Theatre in September. The awards are the most prestigious honor conferred by the District of Columbia to individual artists, arts organizations and patrons of the arts. 

Uncover/Discover: Regional Call for Portfolios entries are being reviewed this week by our expert panel of curators and selections will be announced on or around Friday, August 3.
