FotoWeekDC Exhibitions - Get ready to experience the best in fine art photography and photojournalism at the 5th Anniversary FotoWeekDC Festival! Our core exhibitions at FotoWeek Central will be located in the heart of Downtown DC, in a 40,000 sq. ft. surprise location, soon to be announced! Exhibitions include: FotoDC’s International Awards Competition 2012 Winners, FotoDC Uncover/Discover 2012 Selections, The Pulitzer Center on Crisis Reporting - Global Goods/Local Costs, Magnum/Reporters Without Borders 101 Images of Peace and many more shows soon to be announced. The FotoBooks Exhibition opening reception will be held at FotoWeekEDU @ Goethe, November 14, 2012. Alongside these powerful exhibitions, make sure to register for Seminars and Portfolio Reviews, where you can gain knowledge from leading industry professionals and have your work reviewed by top photographers, curators, and art directors.
Festival Event Ticket Sales - You can now purchase tickets for our exclusive Opening and Closing Parties! The Opening Party will be held at a surprise Central downtown location on Saturday, November 10, 8 - 11pm. Purchase through October 14 to take advantage of the Early Bird Discount. The Festival Closing Party will be at the Former Spanish Ambassador’s Residence (2801 16th Street NW), Saturday, November 17.

Festival Pass - $5 gets you access to our multiple exhibitions at FotoWeekCentral and you can return as many times as you like during the festival. An admission fee helps support FotoDC’s festival and annual programs.

Heiner Contemporary is delighted to present Satomi Shirai’s latest exhibit.  Home & Home chronicles the artist’s experience as an immigrant following her move from Tokyo to Queens in 2004. Exhibit will be open from September 14 to October 27, 2012

“Occupy This” combines art, photojournalism, historic documents, and films to consider the causes, activities, and representation of the Occupy Movement. The exhibition will be at American University Museum at the Katzen Arts Center in Washington, D.C. until October 21 from 5-8pm at the museum.
