WHNPA 2010 ‘ Eyes of History’ contest winners!

Congratulations to all of our winners and thanks to everyone who participated to make this years contest a success!

Contest results are on the WHNPA web site. The Stills results are posted with text and images. The New Media and Television contest results are posted here on the blog in text format. (scroll down) In the next several days we will add the videos from the television winners into the contest section of the site.

Meanwhile…here are a few highlights from this weekend’s judging:

History was made in the Television contest division, as CNN”s Bethany Swain was named WHNPA Video Photographer of the Year. Bethany is the first woman in WHNPA history to earn this award!

Video Editor of the Year: Chris Shlemon of ITN was named Video Editor of the Year. This is the third time Chris has won the top honor.

In the Stills division:

Political Photo of the Year winner is: Alex Wong of Getty Images

Photographer of the Year is: Chip Somodevilla of Getty Images
