Dear WHNPA members:
Happy summer, everyone. Hope you are getting a little rest before you head
off to Beijing or the campaign gets into full swing! You should know about
the following:
The 2008 "Eyes of History" exhibit opening reception at the Edison Place
Gallery is Thursday, July 17th, beginning at 7:00 p.m. Please
plan to pick up your second, third and Award of Excellence plaques. If you
can¹t be there, please have a friend take it... storage space is at a premium.
Thanks for your help.
Mark your calendars!!!!!!
The Big WHNPA summer picnic is Saturday, August 16, 2008 at the rowing club
under Key Bridge. Ed Eaves' Band, The Rick Sickmen Band, is on to play for
our picnic. Invitations, directions and hours TBA and will be on the website
Please help spread the word! Check out the WHNPA web site, www.whnpa.org.
Also, a reminder about the PNY discount offer page set-up specifically for
WHNPA members! See the latest ad in the WHNPA newsletter, too! Log onto
www.pny.com/WHNPA to receive your discount.
FYI. some local DC price checking was done and the discount is
substantially lower than anything you can find online or at the retail
level. On average they are coming in $30 to $50 less than competitors for
the equivalent product! Now look at all that extra gas money you¹ll
have!!! Thanks, PNY.
Your traveling "Eyes of History" exhibit will be going up at the Press Club
soon and we have been asked up to Photo Plus in October! Please let me know
if you plan to attend Photo Plus this year, we might have some volunteer
opportunities for you in NYC! The WHNPA web site will have free
registration codes available shortly. Again, monitor the WHNPA web site
www.whnpa.org <http://www.whnpa.org> frequently.
And finally if you have moved, changed email addresses, etc. Please,
please, please, let us know. We have just received 15 newsletters and
gallery invitations back from the post office as undeliverable. Every penny
counts in a nonprofit. Thanks for your help.
See you at the reception and/or picnic.
Warmest, as always, Heidi
