exhibition & trunk sale!

We  hope you are all enjoying the last lazy days of summer and are surviving the heat!
 
Here’s a little reminder about our upcoming general membership meeting this Friday night: August 20th.

COOL OFF with a private viewing and reception of the 2010 WHNPA ‘Eyes of History’ photo exhibit from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Many, many thanks to WHNPA members David Kleber (curator) and Bill Auth (installing) and to National Geographic Digital Imaging Lab for the printing the exhibit.
 
*** Need even more incentive?  The WHNPA version of a ‘Trunk Sale”!  That’s right… we are cleaning the warehouse and will have WHNPA branded merchandise available for sale (from the trunk of my mini-van) at ridiculously LOW (read cheap) prices!!   Bring the checkbook, although I’m told cash will work, too.  You can also find your award plaques if you didn’t attend the gala in May.
 
Other WHNPA news:

The 2010 ‘Eyes of History’ Travelling exhibit is now on loan to Poynter Institute.  The exhibit will be on display through the end of October, where we hope to have it at Photo Plus.
 
2010 WHNPA Photographer of the Year, Chip Somodevilla, will also be presenting at Poynter in the near future.
 
As always, please let Heidi know if you have moved, changed email addresses, etc. She has  been receiving quite a bit of returned snail mail.  So if you didn’t receive your postcard invitation for Friday night’s reception… this could be why…..  Or if your friends are talking about email that they receive from her and you say, “what e-mail?”   She might not have your current email address or you may be filtering mail…..
